Emmy is a Woman
I tend to be pop culture illiterate. But even I’ve noticed that this year, women rocked the Emmys—and not just because of their designer gowns. The Women’s Media Center reports women’s stories are dominant. Yet women lag with only 25% of nominations for writing, editing, directing and producing going to women. The Guardian did a more precise calculation on behind the scenes gender numbers that looks more positive. I offer the Washington Post my Emmy for juiciest reporting; but a gender lens was missing all around IMO.
