Something’s Gotta Give: 6 Ways For #GivingTuesday To Benefit Women’s Changing Philanthropy
More women give. But women give less. And the causes and organizations strictly benefiting women and girls receive a tiny percentage overall. That needs to change. Yes, women are more frequent givers, as 65 % of donors on GivingTuesday are women, according to Forbes. But the sites and causes that cater to women and girls earn less than 2% of all donations in the U.S., according to Philanthropy Women. Why the disparity?

Wear the Shirt of Change: Representing the Power of Women's Leadership This #GivingTuesday
No doubt you have noticed that #GivingTuesday 2023 is today, November 28. I’m challenging you to share what’s on the shirt of your convictions about women’s leadership.
The concept of “wearing the shirt” struck me during my tenure as CEO of Planned Parenthood in Arizona. I was chatting with three young women in our Casa Grande clinic. They contemplated whether to change out of their Planned Parenthood shirts to avoid criticism. It’s a normal human reaction.
Yet this metaphor symbolizes our collective commitment to women’s equality and parity in leadership. It became my Leadership Power Tool #6 of the9 Leadership Power Tools to Advance Your Career.
If we haven’t yet moved you to donate to Take The Lead as part of your
GivingTuesday investment in a better future, we’re sure the voices of women who took our courses will. Such as:
"The 9 Leadership Power Tools course re-shaped my thinking on personal power and how to embrace it to create the vision I want for my life and career. As a result, I received several job offers for leadership roles within the technology industry. If you have a chance to take this class do it!" —Deniece Moxy, Head of Product Marketing, Cortical.io
Please donate today and use your power to enable more women to realize their leadership potential and make the balance of power truly fair.
Even more exciting: your contributions will be matched up to $40,000! Make your gift today to maximize your impact. Because Take The Lead needs to raise $80,000 in GivingTuesday to continue and increase our essential
work. When you give today, you double your donation and that doubles your impact.
Take The Lead prepares, develops, inspires, and propels all women of all diversities and intersectionalities to take their fair and equal share of leadership positions across all sectors by 2025. Learn more at www.taketheleadwomen.com.
